Featuring a 1.25" opening for hummingbirds, this imprinted pottery birdhouse was handmade in Lexington by Missions Pottery. These little houses are the perfect size for nesting hummingbirds to lay their tiny eggs but also make darling ornaments, fairy garden decorations, and more. Measures 5" tall with a 2" diameter and 3" ribbon drop. 

Made in North Carolina.

Meet_Maker

Tommy Davis of Missions Pottery began creating pottery as a hobby and stress reliever. After taking classes, he was hooked! His work has evolved and uses a variety of techniques, such as clay-weaving and imprinting, and he specializes in functional yet beautiful pieces that will work around the house. His studio is a mainstay of downtown Lexington, NC, where he sells his and other local artisans’ work, in addition to teaching pottery to others.

  • Care instructions: Your hummingbird house is made to withstand the elements when placed in a protected area and brought in each winter, but will age gracefully over the years. While a hummingbird is not guaranteed to take up residence in the house, each one could house a hummingbird and two eggs. The chicks will return year after year to start their own families. Hummingbirds like bright colors when feeding, but prefer natural colors that blend in outdoors when nesting.
