Meet_Maker
Nancy Duffie has been weaving baskets for more than 30 years. Currently based in Charlotte, Nancy moved to the South from New Hampshire in 2012. Inspired by the nowdefunct Exeter Basket Company and the storied tradition of tobacco baskets, Nancy took basket weaving seminars and classes to develop her craft. All of her baskets are made from reed, and have different patterns and details. She now teaches the not-quite-lost art of tobacco basket weaving throughout North Carolina.
