Meet_Maker

Macon York Costlow took her first letterpress course in 2010, a medium she developed through trial and error as her creative outlet. Her passion expanded into commissioned work, and in 2017 she rebranded and now works as Macon York Press. By working with her hands to set up the press, mixing the ink colors, and hand-feeding each piece of paper though the press, Macon creates carefully crafted works of art on paper that are intended to last, and spark joy within herself and others. Macon lives and works in Laurel Park in Western North Carolina, where she loves experiencing the changing seasons in the mountainous landscape.
