Meet_Maker

Gabriel Hargett always enjoyed building and creating things, and, in 2009, he founded Oowee Products in Asheville with the goals of producing sustainable American-made products and giving back to his community. North Carolina is historically a manufacturing state, and part of Oowee’s mission is to bring back North Carolina-made products that are built to last. They partner with the Autism Society of North Carolina and employ adults on the autism spectrum to assemble their products, which combine traditional leather working techniques with modern technology and production methods.
