Memories of a lifetime

I just finished reading Silver Linings, so many stories, I thought I was reading my bio, born and raised in NC, this book really hits home, brought back so many great memories such as spending my summers from age 7 to age 16, three months every year with my grandparents in Southport, in the 50's, working on my grandfather's party fishing boat, his name was Ray Stubbs, but everyone knew him as Pappy, my grandparents live right on the old yacht basin on Short Street, some of the fishing stories were amazing. Also spending time with my other grandparents in Charlotte, at the Park Center wrestling matches, baseball games at Griffith Park, the Charlotte Hornets baseball team, my grandfather Pop was an usher at both locations, these grandparents lived in Dilworth, one block from Griffith Park and you walked out their front door and you could see Zesto's ice cream shop, walking from downtown Charlotte to their house, as a teenager driving from Shoney's on Morehead, to Shoney's on the Plaza, to Bar-B-Q King on Wilkinson Blvd., the days of American Graffetti, life was fun and so innocent then, hope you do another Silver Linings soon, again thanks for a great book of memories, made me feel young again
