Tommy Davis of Missions Pottery began creating pottery as a hobby and stress reliever. After taking classes, he was hooked! His work has evolved and uses a variety of techniques, such as clay-weaving and imprinting, and he specializes in functional yet beautiful pieces that will work around the house. The name Missions Pottery is purposeful. Through their profits, they support Christian missions in America and around the world. Missions Pottery is a mainstay of downtown Lexington, NC, where Tommy sells his and other local artisans’ work, in addition to teaching pottery to others.

Bee Hive Mug

Love the bright yellow color! Don’t love how “thick” the bee hive ceramic logo is though. Feels annoying to my hand. I don’t think it needs to be any thicker than the NC state logos on other mugs or Christmas decor on seasonal mugs. I have approximately 18 mugs and love them all but this new mug is my least favorite. Disappointed in this mug.

My daughter in Tennessee is having surgery. I wanted to send her a special "comfort" box to cheer her. She LOVES bees ! Seeing these mugs, I knew she would love them. I love the mug and I know she will too. Absolutely high quality. Would highly recommend !
